Due to its immense natural and beautiful beaches adorned with towering limestone, white sands and pristine corals, Caramoan has become favorite venue of the popular reality TV show, Survivor with participants coming from different countries. Because of this Caramoan has lately emerged as one of the favorite tourist destinations in the world which improved the town's economy and elevate to first class municipality category. These achievements pave ways to Caramoan residents to establish businesses and benefit from town's development, but only very few have enjoyed such benefits. Caramoan local residents, particularly those residing in places where beautiful beaches are found have not directly benefited from the tourists.
